About the event
Get ready for an unforgettable evening as we gather for a group viewing of the classic documentary film “Tripping”! Dive into the vibrant world of the early psychedelic cultural movement, featuring Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters, the legendary 1966 San Francisco Trips Festival, and the fascinating aftermath.
After the film, we’ll have a lively, freeform discussion exploring the impact of this movement on the prohibition and treatment of psychedelics as controlled substances. Was the hippie counterculture responsible for the subsequent over-reaction? Could it have been avoided? What lessons can we learn to benefit today’s movement? Whether you're a seasoned psychonaut or just curious, this event promises a fun, enlightening experience. Come with an open mind and join the conversation!
