About the event
🌟Join us at Psychedelic Pride to create art and embark on a powerful exploration of the intersection of queer identity and psychedelic healing, featuring Maya Amélie Seale — a groundbreaking transgender researcher and speaker at Psychedelic Science 2025. With deep roots in neuroimaging and gender-expansive psychometrics, Maya brings a uniquely insightful lens to how psychedelics can support the mental health and spiritual resilience of LGBTQ+ communities. Her work delves into how substances like MDMA can reduce minority stress and promote authentic self-connection, particularly for trans and nonbinary individuals.
In a time when queer and trans people face heightened mental health disparities and societal pressure, Maya’s research offers a hopeful, evidence-based vision of psychedelic therapy as a pathway to healing, self-compassion, and community empowerment. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the emerging science behind psychedelics, how it uniquely applies to queer experiences, and the importance of inclusive research and therapeutic models. Come be part of a vibrant conversation that centers queer voices and honors the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine.
