About the event
Psychedelic Book Club: A group discussion of Tripped by Norman Ohler
PsyT Houston will periodically gather to discuss books, both old and new, relevant to the psychedelic community. This month's choice is a new publication reviewing the little-known history of the development of LSD in Switzerland prior to WWII, and how the Nazis attempted to hijack the powerful substance for their evil purposes. It also details how post-war occupation influenced the implementation of the Nazi-era drug laws into the US, and CIA attempts to weaponize LSD during the Cold War. The book is available in electronic or physical form, as well as audiobook format. You don't need to have read the book to participate.
