About the event

Our brains are like super computers, sometimes a simple reboot with psychedelics can give us a new perspective. Other times, the operating system may be so faulty - such as those who suffer complex or childhood PTSD - that a new operating system needs to be written. While psychedelics can open the mind to new possibilities, they don’t represent new programming in and of themselves. Success for the modern psychonaut may increase if a new operating system is standing by to be installed.

Modern behavioral therapies such as DBT and CBT can promote changes in negative habits and thought patterns. Inspiration can be drawn from self-help support groups and narrative therapy to support the DIY psychonaut in their search for healing. There are many creative ways to use psychology to help us design a framework for medicinal psychedelic use.

In this presentation you'll discover:

  • Several important psychology models for neurohacking
  • Applications of psychology during the psychedelic prep phase
  • Explore psychology tools to promote lasting integration
  • Increase knowledge around creating a DIY psychedelic experience
  • *Please note this presentation is psychoeducational*
