About the event
About the event:
Join us for an eye-opening panel discussion where we’ll explore how KAP is transforming the way we treat depression, anxiety, and PTSD. This isn’t just about theory; you’ll get a front-row seat to the real science, practical applications, and personal stories behind this cutting-edge therapy.
Our expert panelists include Dr. Jasdeep Sandhu, a psychiatrist who will break down how ketamine works in the brain to provide rapid relief from mental health challenges. You’ll hear from Jordon Sanford, LMFT-A, a seasoned KAP psychotherapist who will guide you through the entire process—what a KAP session looks like, how clients prepare, and the therapeutic journey during and after treatment. Leading the panel discussion will be Rebecca Kline, LMFT-A, who also specializes in KAP in her private practice.
We’re also excited to feature a real-life experience from someone who has undergone KAP. They’ll share what it felt like, the impact on their life, and tips for those curious about this innovative therapy.
Why attend? Whether you’re a mental health professional, a person exploring new treatment options, or just fascinated by new developments in therapy, this event will deepen your understanding of KAP. You’ll leave with practical knowledge and a fresh perspective on how this therapy could make a difference.
Join us for an enlightening and inspiring discussion!
About the Speakers:
Jordon Sanford LMFT-A is a psychedelic therapist practicing at Illumma Ketamine Infusion Clinic in Austin, TX. He works with adolescent and adult clients, many of whom are in a deep crisis that pushed them to look for a novel treatment like KAT. He specializes in helping his clients reach their potential through learning to engage with their innate wisdom by reconnecting with their body and mind through curiosity, self-acceptance and individually-curated musical soundscapes in the ketaverse. Jordon has extensive personal experience with psychedelic medicines and has learned from a diverse group of shamans and medicine practitioners. It is his own healing journey that has brought him to this work which in turn allows him to empower his clients to have the courage to delve deeply into their own psyches using ketamine as a tool.
Dr. Jasdeep Sandhu is a board-certified psychiatrist who practices integrative psychiatry. She believes that we each create the medicine we need. She approaches mental health treatment with awareness of the many factors influencing wellbeing, and teaches her patients to practice this same awareness. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai in New York City, and focuses on mindfulness, psychodynamic, and transpersonal approaches to therapy and works with the principles of meaning, nutrition, movement, restoration, meditation, and connection as core principles in treatment. She facilitates group KAP retreats and individual sessions in her private practice. She also offers consulting around psychedelics and mental health for clinics and individuals. She enjoys teaching future doctors, colleagues and the public on psychedelics and holistic mental health.
Rebecca Kline, an event organizer at PsyT, will be moderating this panel discussion. A licensed therapist specializing in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), Rebecca’s journey to rediscovering her True Self began with her personal experience in psychedelic healing. She believes deeply that we heal in community, not in isolation, making groups like PsyT essential to our Austin community. Rebecca sees psychedelic medicines and community as inseparable forces, guiding us back to wholeness and our true selves.
