Kava 101 & Community Meetup

What is kava, what are its benefits, and how can it shift, and potentially improve, the body and mind?

At this community event, you'll be able to meet members of the Dallas/Denton area community and try different Kava drinks. Mike S., one of our community members, will be providing an introduction to the plant and the drinks made from it. He will also share how it helped him heal and grow in body and mind.

Kava is a root from the South Pacific; the earthy beverage is still made in the traditional way of squeezing the root and drinking from coconut shells. A natural muscle relaxer, it can offer a natural sense of calm and wellbeing without affecting cognitive or motor skills.

About the Presenter:

Mike S. is a vegan content creator and social media manager with a strong interest in personal development. He went through a difficult trip in his early twenties that made him take a break from psychedelics and explore other modalities  (such as meditation, lucid dreaming, breathwork, and yoga) for achieving similar states of consciousness. This quest also led him to other botanicals like kava and kratom, which helped him get off most prescription medications. He never lost interest in the power of psychedelics, though, hence why he’s here with us today!
