About the event
Bicycle Day Ride: Celebrate LSD's Birthday (Houston) Apr2026
The first "Bicycle Day" was April 1943, when Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hofmann took that famous bicycle ride home after heavily dosing himself with LSD in the lab, becoming the first person (in modern-day) to intentionally experience its effects.
Bring your bike and join friends old and new to commemorate Bicycle Day. PsyT will have a meet-up spot at a designated location on White Oak Bayou. We'll lead the group along the dedicated adjacent bike trail, then return for a period of community, snacks, and socialization. This year will be a full hour of riding, so come ready! Refreshments will be available, but we will not provide any illegal substances, and we encourage sobriety for safety's sake.
Don't forget water and safety gear (e.g. helmet)!
