The Yoga of Psychedelics with Zach Leary

The Yoga of Psychedelics with Zach Leary

Psychedelic mysticism has crashed head on with the Western ideas around healing and wellness to form a new modality of what healing looks like. But what happens after the healing begins? Do you go back in and see what else there is to uncover? Can psychedelics be used as an ongoing wellness method? How much is too much? Beyond mental health, how can psychedelics continue to expand our relationship with spirit and our place in the world? In much of the modern application of psychedelic healing, the mystical and noetic qualities of psychedelics have been stripped away from the intentions behind using these medicines. Can psychedelics be used to continue your own unfolding of dharma?

Join Zach Leary as he explores what it means to use psychedelics as a spiritual method just as we would any other contemplative practice. Zach discusses the benefits of psychedelic assisted spiritual expansion and well as the pitfalls that come with chasing peak experiences.

The talk concludes with a Q&A from the PsyT community audience.

The Speaker:

Over the course of the last 30 years, Zach has found himself in the center of the psychedelic movement with a front row seat for the modern renaissance while also having first hand knowledge of the historical legacy of the counter cultures influence on psychedelic healing.

After spending many years as a digital marketing expert for some of the worlds largest brands, Zach had a wake up call 13 years ago that thrust him back into the center of the psychedelic cyclone thanks to the influence of his primary teacher and mentor, Ram Dass. Since, then he has found his own unique voice and method in being able to contribute to the revolutionary new psychedelic movement we find ourselves in.

As a health and wellness facilitator, integration coach, guided session therapist and seeker of all things mystical – Zach has worked with nearly 100 people one on one to help them heal with the assistance of psychedelic medicines. And as a teacher, Zach has taught over 50 people his unique approach to psychedelic studies, safe use and harm reduction, the history of psychedelics and how to be a well rounded, knowledgeable and safe practitioner.

Zach currently hosts The MAPS podcast and has in depth knowledge of psychedelic assisted facilitation, is a trained meditation teacher, a student of bhakti yoga, an IFS enthusiast and expert in the history of psychedelic culture and its many methodologies.

Zach is also a facilitator at the psilocybin Evolution Retreat Center in Negril, Jamaica, and a facilitator at Heroic Path to Light, an Austin-based healing church that serves veterans and first responders.

As an author, Zach’s first book “Your Extraordinary Mind – Psychedelics in the 21st Century and How to Use Them” will be published by SoundsTrue in late 2023.
